BookNova AI vs Inkfluence AI: Prices, Reviews and Terms

BookNova writes whole novels from a story idea and sells lifetime plans instead of subscriptions. Here is what it does, what it costs, what its few reviews say, the clause in its terms to read before you pay, and how it compares with our tool.

By Sam May, founder of Inkfluence AI

Five readers in a lamp-lit living room each hold the same paperback, The Harbour Letters by Elena March, while one woman holds her copy up and talks, with tea and sticky-note flags on the coffee table

We make Inkfluence AI, the other tool on this page. Here is how we compared, and where BookNova is the better choice.

If you searched for BookNova reviews, you are probably close to buying, and a lifetime plan is a bigger decision than a monthly one. So this page sticks to what you can check: BookNova's own homepage, pricing page and FAQ, its terms of service and refund policy, and its Trustpilot page, all read on 17 October 2026. BookNova is linked throughout.

We did not buy BookNova or test it, so there are no scores or ratings here, and nothing on this page says its novels are better or worse than ours. Where it offers something we do not, the page says so.

How we compared

First, which BookNova. Searches for "book nova ai" lead to booknova.ai, the AI novel generator this page is about. Two look-alikes are not it: booknova.co is a parked domain listed for sale, and "Books Nova" (booksnova.com) is a separate publishing-services company with its own reviews.

  1. BookNova's own words. We opened its homepage, pricing page with the FAQ, terms of service, refund policy and contact page in a real browser on 17 October 2026. Every BookNova feature, price and term on this page comes from those pages. Where its pages disagree with each other, we say so.
  2. Prices in the currency we were shown. BookNova shows prices in your local currency, worked out on its server. Read from Canada, they came back in Canadian dollars and we could not get a US-dollar figure, so we quote the Canadian prices and label them. You will see your own currency.
  3. Reviews from a third party. The review figures come from BookNova's Trustpilot page on the same day.
  4. Our side from our code. Inkfluence plan limits, export formats and terms were checked against our own settings, help articles and terms of service.

What we did not do: buy a BookNova plan, generate a novel on it, or score either tool. A score we invented would tell you less than the facts below. BookNova publishes sample novels you can download from its homepage, and our free plan lets you read our chapters before paying; that pair is the honest hands-on test.

What BookNova is, and what it does well

BookNova is an AI novel generator made by IMAGE LLC in Riga, Latvia. Its homepage pitch is direct: pick a genre, give it a story idea, and "in under an hour" you have a finished novel with plot, characters, chapters, a cover and illustrations, ready for Amazon KDP. Its FAQ puts generation at 30 to 90 minutes, about an hour for an 80,000-word romance or thriller. It writes fiction only, across romance, thriller, mystery, fantasy, sci-fi, literary fiction, short stories and novellas, with subgenres such as dark romance, cozy mystery, epic fantasy, space opera, horror and YA.

It gives the writer more dials than most tools of its kind. You set the length, chapter count, point of view (it lists ten formats, from first-person present dual POV to omniscient) and tone. Its Sail Mode proposes where the next chapter goes, lets you keep or change the plan, and only then writes it. It can learn your voice from pages you paste in. And a "Story World" of people, relationships, places, objects, world rules and a timeline is built after every chapter and stays editable, so a fact you change carries into the chapters that follow.

The site describes several named systems behind the prose: a Story Thread Engine that tracks subplots and "who knows what", a Chapter Craft Engine that rotates chapter openings and endings and audits the finished book for twists revealed too early, and a Voice Engine that caps dashes and avoids common AI phrasing per language. Those are its claims; the fairest test is the three sample novels it offers as downloads.

Around the book it adds things a self-publisher will recognise: a KDP package with the paperback interior, a full cover with the spine, the EPUB, a description, seven keywords and categories (from the Pro tier); an Author Launch Kit of character cards, quote images and teaser texts; and a "Content Rights Certificate" and "Generation Audit Log" for each book. It writes in 24 European languages, with the app itself in English, and runs in a browser on Windows, Mac and iPad.

BookNova pricing on 17 October 2026

All four tiers are one-time "lifetime" payments with a monthly allowance of credits, where one credit is one generated word. The table shows what its pricing page displayed to us, in Canadian dollars; its pricing page shows your own currency.

TierOne-time price shownStruck-through priceWord creditsFiles and extras
LiteC$89C$44550,000 a monthPDF only
ProC$149C$745100,000 a monthPDF, EPUB, DOCX; KDP package; launch kit
PlatinumC$269C$1,345200,000 a monthAs Pro
AuthorC$529C$2,645400,000 a monthAs Pro

Its FAQ gives rough sizes in credits: a short story 8,000 to 15,000, a novella 25,000 to 40,000, a standard romance or thriller 60,000 to 90,000, an epic fantasy 120,000 to 180,000. So Lite holds about one short novel a month, and Pro "one to two" full-length novels, in its words. Credits refresh on the same day each month and unused credits do not roll over. Larger "SCALE" plans of 1,000,000 and 3,000,000 credits a month are available on request.

Two things on the page are worth reading calmly. The offer is labelled "limited-time", each tier shows a counter such as "14/100 left", and each price sits next to a struck-through figure five times higher. And the allowance refreshes, in the FAQ's words, "for as long as BookNova exists". A lifetime plan is a bet on the company as much as on the product.

Inkfluence AI prices, for comparison

  • Free: 5 chapters to start and 5 a month, PDF export, no card.
  • Creator: $9.99 a month or $89 a year, 35 chapters a month, EPUB, Word and the KDP package.
  • Premium: $19.99 a month or $179 a year, unlimited chapters.

What BookNova's reviews say

On 17 October 2026, BookNova's Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 4.1 from 8 reviews, posted between 16 September and 10 October 2026. Seven were five-star and one was two-star. The page noted the company had not been inviting customers to review recently.

The five-star reviews praise the founder's quick replies, a feature added on request, the guided chapter-by-chapter mode, and the one-time price. The two-star review is the useful one for a buyer: the reviewer says the tool ignored her chapter-by-chapter instructions, revealed all the plot twists in the first chapter and gave characters inconsistent surnames, and that fixing it took longer than writing would have. BookNova replied that she had used Sail Mode rather than the Auto mode it recommends for that kind of book, and that her refund was issued in full.

BookNova's own homepage shows screenshots of posts from its Skool and Facebook groups and invites you to ask members directly, and quotes 5,610 authors and 22,651 books written. Those are its figures.

Eight reviews over four weeks is too small a sample to judge a novel generator either way. The pattern in the one critical review, long-range plot memory slipping, is the hardest problem for every tool in this category, ours included, which is why the sample novels and a refund window matter.

Four clauses in BookNova's terms to read before you pay

BookNova's terms of service are clear and worth ten minutes. These four sections change how you should use a refund window or publish a book.

  1. A refund ends your right to publish. The licence to everything you generate depends on keeping paid access. If you request and receive a refund it is "automatically and retroactively revoked", and you may no longer publish, distribute or sell that content anywhere, including KDP, "even if you have edited, rewritten, translated, or otherwise modified it". The 30-day guarantee is real, but it is a choice between your money back and your book, so decide before you publish.
  2. BookNova must not appear as author. You may not name BookNova or IMAGE LLC as author, co-author, publisher, imprint or rights holder, in the book, its cover, its store metadata or an ISBN record. You may say the work was made with AI help, and must where a store or law requires it.
  3. No promise of unique or protectable text. It does not warrant that output is unique, free of third-party rights, or eligible for copyright in a given country.
  4. Projects can be blocked. Automated screening can block or delete a project it flags, and credits already used are not automatically restored. Disputes go to the courts of Riga.

A lifetime plan is a long relationship. Read the refund and licence sections first.

How our terms differ, in fairness both ways

Inkfluence AI does not offer BookNova's 30-day money-back window: our subscriptions are non-refundable, and credit packs are non-refundable once used, which is why the free plan exists. In return, there is no clause that takes your book back. Our terms say you retain all rights in what you create, including the exported files. Both tools leave the AI disclosure on KDP to you; our KDP AI disclosure guide explains it.

Creator

BookNova: one credit per generated word, tiers of 50,000, 100,000, 200,000 and 400,000 a month (prices shown to us in Canadian dollars), first generation only. Inkfluence: chapter length is not set, so only the chapter count matters here; our two sample prose books ran about 1,900 to 2,000 words a chapter. Rewrites use more on both.

Where BookNova is the better choice

  • You want to set the word count. BookNova takes a target length, chapter count, POV and tone. We have no word or page target: length follows the number of chapters you ask for. If "an 85,000-word dual-POV romance" is your brief, its controls match it more directly.
  • You want it to write in your voice from samples. BookNova learns from pages you paste in. We take tone and style from your description, and do not learn a voice from sample pages.
  • You would rather pay once. If you write fiction steadily for years and trust the company to keep running, a one-time tier can cost less than a subscription over time.
  • You want a social media kit for each novel. Character cards with portraits, quote images and teaser texts come with Pro and up. We make launch posts and share images from your cover, but not character cards.
  • You want a money-back window. BookNova offers 30 days; we do not refund subscriptions, though our free plan lets you try first. Remember what a BookNova refund does to your licence.

If those are your priorities, visit BookNova and download one of its sample novels first. If you are still comparing novel tools generally, the AI novel writer comparison and Sudowrite vs Novelcrafter cover the other main options.

Where Inkfluence AI fits better

More than novels

Most books made on Inkfluence are non-fiction: guides, business and self-help books, workbooks, cookbooks. It also makes picture books and colouring books. BookNova lists fiction only.

Try before paying

A free plan with no card and no clock: 5 chapters to start, 5 more each month, PDF export.

The book becomes more

An audiobook in many voices, a translation into 59 languages, and listings on Etsy and Gumroad, on Creator and Premium.

No clause takes it back

You retain all rights in what you create, whatever happens to your plan later.

Amazon listing help

Besides the KDP package, a listing kit with description, seven keywords and categories, and an A+ Content pack made from the book.

Credits that stay

Credit packs never expire. BookNova's monthly credits do not roll over.

Series are where story memory earns its keep. Both tools continue a book into a series; on Inkfluence, fiction carries its story record into book two.

What an Inkfluence AI novel looks like when exported

These are three pages of a mystery novel made on our test account, exported through the same code that builds a customer's PDF, printed by a browser and saved as an image. Nothing was retouched. BookNova offers three of its own novels as downloads on its homepage, so you can set them side by side.

Three real exported pages of The Last Lighthouse: a stormy lighthouse cover, an eight-chapter table of contents, and the chapter one opening with a drop cap
Real export: The Last Lighthouse, a mystery novel, 8 chapters, 16,250 words, 73 pages at 6 x 9 inches, written in 5 minutes 20 seconds.

How the novel was written

Fiction chapters are written in order, so each one can read what came before. A story record tracks what has happened, who knows what and where everyone stands, and before each chapter its plan is checked against that record, so a reveal planned for chapter six is not told in chapter three. On manual setup you review and edit the outline before any chapter is written.

What it took

Eight chapters came out at about 2,000 words each. A longer novel means asking for more chapters, which is the honest limit next to BookNova's length setting. The export added the cover, contents and chapter openings; the KDP package adds the wrap cover and EPUB. The novel writer page shows the workflow.

The fairest comparison is your own premise in both tools. Write the first five chapters of yours here for free, then read them next to one of BookNova's sample novels, looking at the same things: does chapter five remember chapter one, and does the dialogue sound like people?

Write my first chapters

From story idea to KDP upload, on each tool

Feature tables hide the order you actually work in. Here is the same novel, a romance or a thriller you mean to sell on Amazon, walked through both tools from their own descriptions.

On BookNova

You pick a genre and a subgenre, write the story spark, and set the length, chapter count, POV format and tone, with your own voice if you pasted sample pages. Then you choose: Auto mode writes the whole book, while Sail Mode stops before each chapter to show you where it plans to go, so you can keep the plan, rewrite it or ask for other ideas. Its Story World fills in as chapters are written, and you can open it and correct a fact. When the book is done you pick a cover, and on Pro or above you download the KDP package with the interior PDF, the full cover, the EPUB, a description, seven keywords and suggested categories, plus the Author Launch Kit for social media.

On Inkfluence AI

You describe the novel in a few sentences, including the number of chapters you want, since that sets the length. On manual setup the outline appears first, and you rename, reorder, cut or add chapters before anything is written. The chapters are then written in order against the story record, and the book opens in an editor where you can rewrite a passage, ask the assistant for changes or an editorial review of a chapter, and regenerate anything that misses. The cover designer sits in the same project. On a paid plan or with credits, the KDP package gives you the interior, the wrap cover with its spine sized from the real page count, the EPUB and a cover JPG, and the Publish page adds the listing kit and an A+ Content pack.

On both

The upload itself happens in your own KDP account. Amazon asks whether the book contains AI-generated text, images or translations; its content guidelines say a text an AI tool created counts as AI-generated even after you edit it heavily, and declaring it does not stop you publishing. Proof the paperback before you press publish: our guides to formatting a book for KDP and publishing AI-generated books on KDP cover the file checks, and the KDP self-publishing guide covers the upload screens.

The practical difference shows up in two places. BookNova gives you more control before writing (length, POV, voice) and a social kit after. Inkfluence gives you more control over the structure before writing (the outline review) and more places for the book to go after: an audiobook, a translated edition, an Etsy or Gumroad listing. If you are planning a world before either, the free story bible generator and character bible generator work for both tools.

Lifetime plan or subscription: what to weigh

The lifetime model is BookNova's biggest difference from us, and its reviewers' favourite thing about it. It is a reasonable choice, with trade-offs that apply to any lifetime deal, not just this one.

  • It pays off with time. One payment against months of subscription: the longer you write, the better it looks, as long as you keep writing in what the tool does, which here is fiction.
  • It depends on the company. The allowance refreshes "for as long as BookNova exists". Running AI models costs money every month, so lifetime revenue has to be replaced by new sales. That is a risk to weigh, not a prediction.
  • Monthly allowances do not stack. BookNova credits reset each month without rolling over, so a quiet month is lost. Our credit packs never expire; our monthly plan allowances also reset.
  • Tier choice is fixed at purchase. Buy the tier that covers your busiest month, or plan to top up. The sizing tool above helps.

If you prefer to pay once with us, a credit pack is the nearest thing: 50 chapters for $24.99, no expiry, and any pack unlocks EPUB and Word export for good. For the full cost picture of publishing, see the real cost of publishing an AI book.

Inkfluence AI's limits for novelists

  • No word or page target. The chapter count in your prompt sets the length.
  • No voice learning from samples. Describe the tone you want; the tool does not study pages of your writing.
  • No lifetime plan and no refunds on subscriptions. The free plan is the trial; credit packs are the pay-once option.
  • The free plan is small. 5 chapters to start and 5 a month, PDF only with a small footer credit. EPUB and Word need a paid plan or credits.
  • Creator has a monthly cap. 35 chapters a month; Premium has none.
  • The app is in English. Books can be written in many languages; menus are English.
  • It is a first draft. Read every chapter. Long-range plot memory is the hardest problem for every novel tool, and the review above shows why it is worth checking.

More detail on fiction specifically: romance, fantasy, mystery and thriller and series each have their own page.

7 things to check before buying any AI novel tool

  1. Read a whole sample novel, not a sample page. Plot memory fails late, so read the last third.
  2. Try your own premise. A free plan or the first days of a refund window, on the book you actually want to write.
  3. Read the refund and licence clauses. Know what happens to your book if you stop paying or ask for your money back.
  4. Check the files at the end. EPUB for Kindle, a print PDF at your trim size, a wrap cover with the right spine.
  5. Price your real month. Words or chapters at your busiest, with rewrites, not the headline.
  6. Check the language you write in. Read a chapter as a native reader would.
  7. Plan the disclosure. KDP asks about AI-generated text and images; answer it truthfully.

Our guide to judging an AI novel writer's output goes deeper on the first two.

How this page was made

Who: Sam May, who founded and runs Inkfluence AI. More on the about page.

How: BookNova's homepage, pricing page and FAQ, terms, refund policy and contact page were read in a real browser on 17 October 2026, and its Trustpilot page the same day. Inkfluence facts come from our plan settings, help articles and terms. The novel pages are a real export; the three photographs are illustrations made for this page. AI tools helped with research and drafting, and every price, clause and number was checked against its source.

Why: people searching for BookNova reviews also find our pages, and a lifetime purchase deserves a plain account of the terms. Some of them are better served by BookNova, and we say so.

If BookNova's prices, features or terms have changed, or we have something wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.

Frequently asked questions

What is BookNova AI?
BookNova (booknova.ai) is an AI novel generator made by IMAGE LLC in Riga, Latvia. You pick a genre and give it a story idea, and it writes the characters, plot and chapters, adds a cover and chapter illustrations, and exports the book, with a KDP package on its Pro tier and up. It writes fiction only and is sold as a one-time lifetime plan with monthly word credits. All of this is from its own site on 17 October 2026.
Is BookNova AI legit?
It is a real product from a registered company with published terms, refund policy and a contact address in Riga, and it takes payment through Paddle. Its Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 4.1 from 8 reviews posted between 16 September and 10 October 2026 when we read it on 17 October 2026. Read its terms before you buy, especially the refund clause described on this page.
What do BookNova reviews say?
On 17 October 2026 its Trustpilot page had 8 reviews: seven five-star, praising the founder's support and the one-time price, and one two-star review saying the tool ignored chapter instructions, revealed the twists in chapter one and gave characters inconsistent surnames. BookNova replied that the reviewer had used Sail Mode rather than the Auto mode it recommends, and that her refund was issued. Eight reviews is a small sample.
How much does BookNova cost?
Its pricing page offers four lifetime tiers, paid once. Shown to us in Canadian dollars on 17 October 2026: Lite C$89 (50,000 word credits a month, PDF only), Pro C$149 (100,000), Platinum C$269 (200,000) and Author C$529 (400,000), each next to a struck-through price five times higher and a seat counter out of 100. The site shows prices in your local currency.
Does a BookNova refund cancel my rights to the book?
Yes, according to its Terms of Service. The licence to what you generate is conditional on keeping paid access, and if you request and receive a refund it is "automatically and retroactively revoked": you may no longer publish or sell the content anywhere, including Amazon KDP, even if you have edited or translated it. Decide within the 30 days before you publish anything.
Is BookNova better than Inkfluence AI?
For some writers, yes. If you only write fiction, want to set the word count and POV, want your own voice learned from sample pages, and would rather pay once than monthly, BookNova covers that on its own site. If you also write non-fiction or children's books, want a free plan, an audiobook, translation or store listings, or want refund-free certainty that what you made stays yours, Inkfluence AI fits better. We make Inkfluence AI, so weigh that.
Can I use BookNova or Inkfluence AI books on Amazon KDP?
Yes, both say so. KDP allows AI-generated books as long as you declare them when you publish. BookNova's terms also forbid naming BookNova or its company as an author, publisher or rights holder anywhere in the book or its listings.
Does BookNova have a free trial?
No free plan or trial appears on its site on 17 October 2026; it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee instead. Inkfluence AI has a free plan with no card: 5 chapters to start and 5 more each month, with PDF export.
