Quick Answer

The Spring 2026 update to Inkfluence AI adds Remix (transform any book's tone, audience, format, or language), audiobook generation with multiple AI voices, translation into 30+ languages, a Netflix-style public gallery, Inky the in-app AI assistant, faster non-fiction generation, and improved book quality across all 20+ book types.

We have been shipping fast this quarter. Here is a full breakdown of everything new in Inkfluence AI since January 2026.

Remix - Turn One Book Into Many

This is the feature we are most excited about. Remix lets you take any book you have written - or any book from the public gallery - and transform it into something entirely new.

You can change the tone (make it more casual, more academic, more motivational), shift the audience (adapt a professional guide for beginners, or turn a general guide into an industry-specific one), switch the format (turn a how-to guide into a workbook, or a self-help book into a daily devotional), or translate it into 30+ languages.

It works on your own projects and on any book in the public showcase. Found a cookbook you love? Remix it into a meal-prep guide. See a business book that would work better as an email course? One click.

Every remix links back to the original, so credit is always preserved.

We wrote a deeper dive on the thinking behind this feature: How We Built Remix.

Translation - 30+ Languages

The translation tab inside Remix deserves its own section. Pick a target language, and Inkfluence regenerates every chapter in that language while keeping the structure, tone, and formatting intact.

This is not find-and-replace machine translation. Each chapter is rewritten by AI in the target language, so idioms, cultural references, and sentence flow all read naturally. A chapter that opens with a baseball analogy in English might use a cricket reference for Hindi readers or a football reference for Spanish readers.

Currently supported languages: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Arabic, Hindi, Turkish, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Tagalog, Russian, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian, Greek, Hebrew, and more.

Translation is available to all users - free and paid. If you have been wanting to reach international readers, this is the fastest way to do it. For context on the audiobook side of multilingual publishing, see our ebook-to-audiobook guide.

Audiobook Generation

You can now turn any project into a full audiobook directly inside Inkfluence. The workflow is simple: pick a voice, preview a 30-second sample, and generate chapter-by-chapter audio.

We support multiple voice styles across different tones:

  • Warm narrators - ideal for self-help, memoir, and inspirational books
  • Authoritative presenters - suited for business, finance, and technical content
  • Conversational voices - great for guides, courses, and how-to content
  • Storytelling voices - designed for fiction, children's books, and true crime

The audio quality is production-grade. Authors are publishing directly to Audible, Spotify, Apple Books, and selling on Gumroad. No external recording software or voice talent needed.

Free users can preview with limited chapters. Creator and Premium plans include monthly audiobook generation credits. For a full comparison of AI voice options, see our audiobook voice generator comparison.

Gallery Redesign

The public gallery got a complete overhaul. Instead of a flat paginated grid, the gallery now feels like browsing Netflix - scroll through curated rows, discover trending books, and find new authors.

What is new:

  • Stats banner - total published books, unique authors, and genre count at a glance
  • New This Week - horizontal scroll row of the freshest books (published in the last 7 days)
  • Popular - sorted by reader views, with read-count badges on covers
  • Genre rows - scrollable rows for each category (self-help, business, fiction, cookbooks, etc.)
  • Author Spotlight - a featured author card with bio, avatar, book count, and cover thumbnails
  • View counter - every book page now tracks and displays read count

Search works across all sections. Category pages (like /books/category/self-help) let you deep-browse any genre. If you have published a book to the gallery, your views are accumulating automatically.

Inky - Your AI Writing Assistant

Meet Inky, our new octopus mascot and in-app assistant. Inky lives as a small floating bubble in the corner of the app and gives you context-aware quick actions based on where you are.

On the dashboard: Inky suggests creating a new book, remixing an existing one, or publishing to the gallery.

In the editor: Inky offers export options, audiobook generation, cover design, and showcase publishing.

Natural language mode: Type a request like "translate my book to Spanish" or "export as PDF" and Inky understands what you mean and routes you to the right feature. No menus to hunt through.

Inky also pops up on the generation screen while your book is being written - look for the tentacles peeking over the edge of the dialog.

Faster Non-Fiction Generation

Non-fiction books now generate all chapters simultaneously instead of one at a time. The result:

  • A 10-chapter business book that used to take 4-5 minutes now finishes in under a minute
  • Workbooks, study guides, travel guides, and recipe books see the biggest improvement
  • The generation screen shows real-time progress: "3 of 8 chapters ready" with a live counter

Fiction still generates chapters in order - each chapter reads the previous ones to maintain character consistency and plot continuity. This is intentional. You want your detective in Chapter 7 to remember the clue from Chapter 3. But fiction generation is also faster thanks to model improvements.

Improved Book Quality

We made substantial improvements to the quality of generated content this quarter. Here is what changed:

Better Tone Matching

Self-help books about health conditions - like "Fighting Depression", "Overcoming Anxiety", or "Living with Chronic Pain" - now use a warm, empathetic voice instead of a clinical tone. The system recognizes when a health topic is really a personal growth book and adjusts accordingly.

No More Repetitive Chapters

Each chapter in non-fiction books now gets a unique angle: a different framework, a different opening style (anecdote vs. statistic vs. question), and a different example persona. Chapter 5 will never sound like a slightly reworded version of Chapter 2.

Stronger Introductions and Conclusions

Book introductions are now 3-5 sentences with a genuine hook instead of generic filler. Conclusions tie back to the opening promise. Both are tone-aware - a cookbook intro reads differently from a business book intro.

Recipe Book Improvements

Recipes now include grouped ingredients (protein, produce, pantry, spices), quick-version summaries, and "Swap It" callout tips. If you are building a cookbook with Inkfluence, the output is noticeably more polished.

Blog Author Profiles

You might notice this post looks a little different. We have added author profiles to every blog post - with photos, bios, and social links. Company updates will come from me (Sam). Our guides and tutorials come from the broader Inkfluence team.

What is Next

Here is what we are working on for the rest of 2026:

  • Series generation - create Volume 1 through N of a book series in one flow, with continuity maintained across volumes
  • Community features - likes, bookmarks, reading lists, and author following in the gallery
  • Continued quality improvements - every month we refine how books read, chapter by chapter

If you have feature requests, we are listening. Drop them in our subreddit (r/InkfluenceAI), or email hello@inkfluenceai.com.

Happy writing.

How many languages does Inkfluence translate into?

Over 30 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, and more. The full list is in the translation tab when you open Remix.

Can I generate audiobooks on the free plan?
