Tommy Meets the Busy Pond
Tommy’s little feet rested at the pond’s edge. Soft mud squished between his toes. Reeds swayed beside him, and warm sunlight made the water sparkle like a box of tiny stars.
He peeked at the busy pond. Lily pads bobbed. Water bugs zipped. Frogs made soft plops as they hopped from leaf to leaf. Tommy smiled. There was so much to see, but no one was playing near him.
