Steps

On the Home or My Books tab, click the three-dot menu on a book card and pick `Translate`. Choose the target language from the list and confirm. AI translates every chapter into a brand new book on your dashboard. Your original book is never modified.

Supported languages

You can translate into 59 languages, from the most widely-used to many regional ones, including:

• Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch
• Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
• Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Turkish, Polish
• Plus 40+ more regional and global languages

Write the next book

1. On the Home or My Books tab, open the three-dot menu on a finished book and pick Continue as a series.
2. Optionally, write what should happen in the next book in the box provided. Leave it blank and the AI plans the next step from how your book ends.
3. Confirm. The next book is written like any other book, and it appears on your shelf marked Book 2.
4. To keep going, open the menu on any book in the series and pick Write the next book. It always continues from the latest book, so a series can run as long as you like.

What carries over

For novels, the story bible carries into the next book: the characters and their names, the story rules you set, open threads, and what has already happened, including who knows what. The next book opens from your last chapter, so it continues the story rather than retelling it. Novels are written one book at a time, because each book starts from the real ending of the one before.

For non-fiction, the next books build on what the earlier book covered and keep its terminology. You can add up to three books at once and describe what each should cover. Choose Sequel to go deeper in order, Companion for the same subject from another angle, or Expanded to give a short topic its own book.

The new book is written in the same language as the book it continues.

Picture books, colouring books and ABC books

Picture books continue one book at a time as a new picture book of the same kind: the same characters drawn from the same character sheet, the same art style and the same number of pages, with a painted cover. A colouring book continues with a new theme beside the first one, and an ABC or counting book with a new theme.

Each new book paints one picture per page, from your monthly images first and then from chapter credits (1 credit per extra picture). The window shows how many pictures it paints and where they come from before you confirm, and nothing starts if your images and credits do not cover the whole book.

Books made from your own pictures cannot be continued, as there is nothing for us to paint. Make the next one with Picture book from my images.

Tips

• Check the story bible of your first book before continuing, and fix any names or facts there. Whatever it says is what the next book follows.
• A sentence or two of direction goes a long way, for example "a year later, her sister arrives and the secret from book 1 comes out".
