Importing

Three ways to import

Pick whichever is closest to where you are:

• New Book menu: click `New Book` in the top right, then `Import content`.
• Import Content tile: on the Home tab, click the `Import content` tile.
• Drag and drop: drop the PDF onto the AI prompt box on the Home tab.

What happens next

Inkfluence reads the PDF, detects chapter breaks (a mix of headings and AI), and opens the new book in the editor with the text pulled in. Larger PDFs can take a moment.

• Drag and drop: drop your .docx or .epub file onto the AI prompt box on the Home tab.

What happens next

Inkfluence reads the file, detects chapter breaks from your headings, and opens the new book in the editor. Headings, lists, bold/italic, and chapter structure carry over. Run `AI Assist` on anything that looks rough after the import.

Steps

Place your cursor in any chapter. Paste your text using `Cmd+V` (Mac) or `Ctrl+V` (Windows). Common formatting like headings and lists comes across. Use `AI Assist` to clean up anything odd afterwards.
