MASTER BINDER

PAGE-BY-PAGE COUNSEL REVIEW WORKBOOK

Purpose. This workbook is designed to sit beside the 894-page Zachary Galloway Master Binder with Current Status Supplement (August 20, 2026) during attorney-client conferences. It gives every binder page its own review entry so counsel can mark what was verified, what requires discovery or investigation, what may support a motion or objection, and what requires no current action.

Important limitation. The master binder is defense work product and issue-spotting material, not proof by itself. Every factual assertion, legal proposition, scientific claim, witness statement, and requested remedy should be checked against the original discovery, native evidence, live docket, current law, and counsel's independent judgment. Pages discussing alleged police misconduct, evidence tampering, assault, laboratory error, or other disputed facts should be treated as investigation leads unless corroborated.

Current-case warning. The binder was supplemented through August 20, 2026. Before relying on it, counsel should separately update the live docket and review later developments, including any later State discovery returns/witness lists, court orders, fitness proceedings, laboratory material, codefendant plea documents, release/testing issues, and motion deadlines.

How to use this workbook with counsel

Work page-by-page in the same order as the master binder. For each entry, counsel can decide whether the page is merely background, contains a fact requiring source verification, identifies missing discovery, calls for witness or forensic investigation, supports a possible motion/objection, or requires no present action. The checkboxes are intentionally broad; they are not recommendations that a motion be filed.

Do not treat the number of identified issues as the number of motions that should be filed. Related issues should be consolidated where appropriate, unsupported theories should be rejected, and litigation decisions should be made by counsel after reviewing the source record.

Attorney-client conference goals

By the end of the review, identify: (1) what discovery counsel actually possesses; (2) what is missing; (3) what facts are genuinely disputed; (4) which witnesses need independent interviews; (5) which digital or scientific evidence requires preservation or expert review; (6) which pretrial motions are factually and legally supportable; (7) what deadlines apply; and (8) what issues should simply be preserved rather than litigated now.

SUGGESTED COUNSEL REVIEW ORDER

The workbook itself remains in exact binder-page order. If conference time is limited, the following order gets counsel to the most time-sensitive material first before returning to the complete page-by-page review.
