I'm a black woman that grew up with the idea that being a lesbian wasn’t normal or acceptable I always knew I was attracted to women from the time I entered school at a young age but dated men because back then it wasn’t acceptable people we’re not open it was hidden. I didn’t date a woman until I was in my twenties and out of school. We have come a long way and it has become more acceptable and women are more relaxed and comfortable expressing their sexuality. We should be able to love freely.
