Indie And Darcy - Their Mini Witches adventures Part 1

The warm air smelled like cinnamon rolls as Indie and Darcy stood on a soft, green hill in a faraway land. Above them, pink clouds floated like big blobs of cotton candy. Indie held her tiny wand like a toothbrush, careful and gentle. Darcy clutched her spell pouch and giggled when it jingled, like little keys.

“We can make a little sparkle,” Indie said softly.

“We can make a little sparkle,” Darcy said back, copying her sister.

They had come to practice mini-witch magic, the kind that made things brighter and friendlier. Indie pointed her wand at a patch of dry grass. “Sparkle, sparkle, please grow.”

A few bright dots popped up and floated around like fireflies. Darcy clapped her hands. “Again!”

But then the sparkle dots zoomed away in a zig-zag line, as if they had spotted something interesting. Indie blinked. “Uh-oh. They went the wrong way.”

The hill suddenly felt too quiet. The jingling in Darcy’s pouch stopped, like someone had turned down the volume. Darcy’s face scrunched. “My magic feels… lost.”

Indie looked at the sky, then at the grass. The sparkle dots had vanished near a tall stack of smooth stones. A faint sound came from there, like someone trying to sneeze politely. “We should find them,” Indie said. “We can call for help the kind way.”

“We can?” Darcy asked, her voice small.

Indie nodded and took a deep breath. Together, they whispered the teamwork call they had made before, but this time Indie added a little extra care. “Help, help, please come! We’re mini witches, not mean ones!”

From behind the stones came a thump-thump sound, then a low rumble like a drum. A big orange head popped out, and two friendly eyes blinked at them. “Hello, tiny witches,” said Igor the dragon. His tail swished the grass, not too hard, just enough to make it sway.

“Igor!” Indie said, surprised and happy. “Our sparkle magic got lost.”

Igor smiled so wide his cheeks wrinkled. “I know a silly plan! We will make a teamwork magic trail. You and we-together-will guide the sparkle dots back.”

“How do we do that?” Darcy asked, standing close to Indie.

Igor lifted one claw and drew a loop in the air. “We make a circle of safe light with your wands, then I’ll hum a warm song. The sparkle dots love music.”

Indie and Darcy pointed their wands at the ground. “Circle, circle, shine!” Indie said. Darcy added, “Happy sparkle, come back!”

Soft light formed a gentle ring in the grass. It felt cool under their feet, like touching a snow cone cup. Igor hummed, and the sound bounced around the stones like a ball. Soon, the missing sparkle dots returned, swirling into the ring with a happy little flutter.

Darcy squealed. “They’re here!”

Indie’s chest felt lighter. “See? We did it together.”

Igor bowed his head. “Teamwork magic is the best kind. You call, we listen, and we help each other.”

The cinnamon-smell clouds drifted a little closer, and the hill felt cozy again. Indie and Darcy looked at the sparkles, now calm and bright, and the warm lesson settled into them like a comfy blanket: When we work together, our magic finds its way.
