Tiger Hunters: Animal Stories

The warm sun tickled Leo’s nose as he padded out from his leafy home. Dew clung to the ground like tiny beads, and it made the air smell cool and fresh. You could almost hear the jungle waking up-birds chirping from above, insects buzzing by the roots, and the soft whisper of leaves moving in the breeze.

Leo was a young tiger, still learning how to be a tiger. Leo lifted his nose, then his eyes, and he saw a small movement between the blades, just a flicker of fur.

“Slow,” you said, and Leo followed your calm feeling. He moved his body low, almost like a toy car gliding on carpet, using the tree shadow to stay hidden. He didn’t need to run fast. He only needed to be patient and quiet long enough for his nose and ears to guide him.

Soon the tall grass showed him the path, and the faint sound became a soft step. Leo stayed calm, and the forest helped him stay safe too-leaves brushing his fur like gentle curtains, and the cool shade keeping him steady. One warm lesson settled in his heart: When we stay quiet and pay attention, the jungle can show us the way.
