This 60-day journal was created for parents who have lost a child - because there is no loss like this one. A parent is not meant to outlive their child. The grief that follows does not follow ordinary maps. Over nine gentle themes and sixty prompts, Say Their Name invites you to write their name, tell their story, and carry them forward with intention. There is no right way to grieve. There is no timeline. These pages simply ask that you show up - and say their name.

A Note Before You Begin

This journal was made for you - and for the child whose name lives in your heart. There is no loss like this one. A parent is not meant to outlive their child. The grief that comes with losing a child does not follow the usual maps. It is vast, and it is fierce, and it asks everything of you.

These 60 pages do not ask you to move on. They ask only that you say their name. That you remember. That you honor the extraordinary love that exists between you - a love that does not end. Write slowly. Skip days. Come back. Let yourself be undone here, and also let yourself be gently held. This journal can carry what your arms cannot hold. Their name is holy. You are allowed to say it as many times as you wish. Begin whenever you are ready.

How to Use This Journal

One day at a time. Each day has a single prompt. A sentence is enough. A page is enough. Nine sacred themes. The 60 days move through nine themes - each a different facet of grief and love. Move through them in order, or return to any theme when you need it. Grief counselor guidance. Throughout the journal you will find gentle reminders from grief professionals to support you along the way. Quotes for the hard days. Inspirational words appear at the start of each week to accompany you. No wrong way to grieve. If a prompt doesn’t fit today, write about why it doesn’t. This journal belongs entirely to you. Rest is part of the practice. If you miss a day or a week, you have not failed. Come back when you are ready.
