Before We Begin...First, I want to say thank you.

Thank you for trusting me to be part of one of the biggest decisions you may ever make for yourself and your family.

If you're reading this, chances are you've spent countless hours searching for answers.

You've probably found yourself down the rabbit hole of YouTube videos, Facebook groups, TikToks, Reddit threads, and government websites, trying to piece together information about visas, schools, healthcare, housing, paperwork, and what life in Spain is really like.

I know that feeling because not long ago, I was exactly where you are now.

At the time, I was a recently divorced mom raising two incredible daughters who were just five and ten years old. I was also running my U.S.- based marketing business remotely and working full-time for a large online Casino, juggling client calls, school pickups, homework, and trying to imagine what life could look like if we took a leap of faith and started over somewhere new.

I was really tired of the hustle, the low standard of safety, and the increasingly expensive cost of living.

The idea of moving abroad was exciting.

It was also terrifying.

There were days I felt completely confident that I could make it happen, and other days when I wondered if I was absolutely crazy for even considering it.

Could I really move my children to another country?

Would they be happy?

Would they make friends?

Would we feel lonely?

What if I forgot an important document?

What if I chose the wrong city?

What if I made a mistake that cost us thousands of dollars, or worse, delayed our dream?

Every answer seemed to lead to five more questions.

The more I researched, the more overwhelmed I became.

One website would tell me one thing, a Facebook group would say something completely different, and an official government page would leave me with more questions than answers.

So I did what I always do when I don't know something.

I researched.

Obsessively.

For months, I read everything I could find. I listened to podcasts during school drop-offs, watched interviews late at night after my girls were asleep, compared neighborhoods, studied school systems, learned visa requirements, researched healthcare, banking, taxes, phone plans, rental prices, and contracts, and created countless spreadsheets and checklists trying to make sense of it all.

I wanted to make sure that when we finally boarded that plane, I had done everything possible to set my daughters (and myself) up for success.

We were leaving everything we knew behind; failure was never really an option.

Looking back now, I'm grateful I put in that work because it gave me confidence when things inevitably became stressful.

But I also realized something.

No one had created the guide I actually needed.

There were plenty of blogs sharing personal stories.

There were government websites explaining legal requirements.

There were YouTube videos documenting life abroad.

But there wasn't one resource that combined practical information with real-life experience in a way that felt organized, honest, and easy to follow.

I didn't need another article telling me why Spain was wonderful.

I needed someone to tell me exactly what to do first, what mistakes to avoid, what documents to prepare, what questions to ask, and what they wished they had known before moving.

That's why I created this BLUEPRINT.

This isn't just another relocation guide.

It's the resource I wish someone had handed me before my family and I packed our lives into six suitcases and boarded a one-way flight to Spain.

Inside these pages, you'll find the research that took me months to gather, lessons I learned through experience, and practical strategies that would have saved me countless hours of second-guessing and money on expedited services.

My hope is that this blueprint becomes the trusted resource you return to throughout your journey, not because it has every answer, but because it helps you ask the right questions, avoid common mistakes, and move forward with confidence.

What Changed for Our FamilyMoving abroad didn't magically solve every problem. Please don't think moving abroad is the magic solution to all of your problems, because it is not. Yes, it is a fresh start, but it doesn't fix everything that you need to actually work on. It is not an escape from what you need to work on to grow and become your best self.

We also still had paperwork to complete, challenges to navigate, and moments of uncertainty.

But what it did give us was something I had been craving for a long time: the opportunity to intentionally design our lives instead of constantly reacting to them.

Today, our lives look very different.

We walk more than we drive.

We spend more time together than we do rushing from one obligation to the next.

Our weekends are filled with exploring new towns, local markets, beaches, and cafés instead of errands and traffic.
