Audiobook Production
Turn your ebook chapters into professional audiobooks with AI narration. Choose voices, generate audio, and download MP3 files for distribution.
Key Takeaways
Select a Voice Profile
Audition voices, compare tones, and assign them to chapters.
Generate and Track Progress
Monitor live progress, credit usage, and generation status per chapter.
Download and Publish
Download MP3 files and prepare them for your distribution platform.
Choosing the Right Voice
Navigate to the Audiobooks tab inside your project to audition available voices. Each profile lists accent, tone, and recommended genres. Play sample clips to hear pacing and pronunciation. Educational content benefits from clear, confident voices, while storytelling may need a warmer delivery.
Set a default voice for the entire project or assign different voices per chapter. When mixing voices, add a note in the chapter list so you remember which sections use which profile. Match the voice to your written tone and target reader.
Generating Chapters and Managing Credits
Select one or more chapters using the checkboxes, then click "Generate Audiobook" to start conversion. Inkfluence processes chapters in the background while displaying progress status - you can keep writing without interrupting generation. Each chapter consumes one audiobook credit.
Your credit balance is displayed at the top of the Audiobook tab. Free plans include limited credits, Creator plans provide 25 audiobook chapters per month, and Premium provides 50. If you run out, purchase additional credit packs to continue.
If a chapter fails due to length or technical issues, review the error message and adjust content. Failed generations do not consume credits. The system only deducts credits for successfully completed audio files.
Reviewing Audio Quality
Once a chapter finishes rendering, use the built-in audio player to listen to the preview. Check pronunciation of names, acronyms, and brand terms. If something sounds off, edit the chapter text with phonetic hints (write "NAS-dak" instead of "NASDAQ") and regenerate.
The AI narration engine handles most standard text well, but specialized terminology may need adjustment. Test a short chapter first, then generate the full audiobook once satisfied.
Downloading and Distributing
Download MP3 files individually or as a bundled ZIP once you are satisfied with quality. Each file includes chapter metadata for easy upload to hosting platforms or podcast feeds.
Create a simple intro and outro that thanks listeners and directs them to your next product. Upload the audiobook to your distribution service or membership portal. Pair the audio launch with a marketing email so your audience knows they can listen on the go.
